PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: 8 September 2026
Marci Studios (“we”, “us” or “our”) processes personal data securely and responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it and the rights available to you.
Information we collect
We may process your name, contact details, billing and order information, communications with us, and technical information about your use of the website. Payments are handled by our payment providers; we do not normally receive your full card details.
Audio and project files
Audio recordings, stems, project files, references and other material you submit are used only to assess, manage and deliver the service you purchased. We do not distribute, publish, reuse or share this material without your permission, except where limited access is necessary for a service provider helping us deliver the service or where required by law. Files are retained only for as long as necessary for the project, agreed follow-up and appropriate documentation.
Purposes and legal bases
We use personal data to process orders and payments, deliver recording, mixing, mastering and related services, respond to enquiries, meet legal obligations and protect the website. Depending on the circumstances, processing is based on performance of a contract, legal obligations, legitimate interests or consent.
Service providers and international transfers
We use Squarespace for our website and online store, as well as the external payment providers available at checkout. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Some providers may process data outside the EEA using a valid transfer mechanism.
Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as necessary for its purpose. Order and accounting records are kept for the period required by law. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data and project material, although no digital transmission or storage method is completely risk-free.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, or object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent at any time. If you believe your data has been processed unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
